“Of All Nations” This Sunday we begin the last sermon series of 2011. This year I’ve been preaching through our Vision, Mission & Goal statement: A family of Christ-followers glorifying God by making disciples of all nations. For the last quarter of the year we’ll be looking at the last segment of that statement “of all nations”. This is the goal of all of our disciple-making efforts: that God may be glorified among all people groups on the planet through His Son, Jesus Christ! Last Sunday I spoke about living with expectations shaped by the reality of the resurrection, not by our past experiences. Reaching the nations with the good news of Jesus is utterly impossible humanly speaking, but we serve a God who empowers His people to do the impossible for His glory. I pray that we will hear God’s voice as we move toward the nations by faith!
Annual Missions Offering. This is also the time of year that we collect our annual Missions Offering, a gift above and beyond our regular tithes to Bridge Church, 100% of which will go to support Southern Baptist missionaries serving internationally, in North America, and right here in Ohio. Please prayerfully consider how you and your family will give sacrificially to support our missionaries this year. You may give to the Missions Offering beginning this Sunday October 2 thru Sunday December 25.
BridgeKidz Classes grades 1-6. We are excited to announce that our kid’s classes for grades 1-3 and 4-6 are re-launching this Sunday Oct. 2nd. Both age groups are using an exciting “Bible Drillz, Skillz, and Thrillz” curriculum that will help our kids become well acquainted with God’s Word! Parents–you are very important in this process as well because each student will be memorizing verses, books of the Bible and important passages–all things which you can help reinforce with them at home. Our grades 1-3 coordinator Gretchen Seyfried would like to invite all parents to accompany their kids to class at 10 a.m. this Sunday for a brief orientation to the material and to learn ways that you can participate in the learning process!
